PM Jepun, koizumi akan bertemu dengan Bill clinton. kerana bahasa inggerisnya tidak lancar, ia memanggil penerjemahnya untuk minta petunjuk ayat-ayat pendek yang biasa diucapkan pada upacara sambutan perayaan.Penerjemah: “Sebelum berjabat tangan ucapkan : how are you? setelah itu presiden clinton akan mengucap kan suatu ayat, biasanya ia akan mengucapkan i am fine, mengangguk lah seolah anda mengerti. Setelah dia selesai bicara tutuplah pembicaraan dengan : me too. Selanjutnya biarlah saya yang mengurus pembicaraan bilateral.”
Sesampainya di rumah putih Bill clinton telah menunggu untuk upacara kenegaraan.
Koizumi : (karena kurang fasih inggris nya) “Who are you ?”
Bill clinton(agak terkejut): “Im hillary husband”
